They were all looking at Di's sword when she cleared her throat. Everybody looked up at her.
"Well, I have a little tidbit of information that might be useful, that I learned when I escaped," she said, "The guy who keeps coming after me, his name is George and when I got away, he shouted something like ‘the Master will not like this,' how much you wanna bet his master is the same one that was in my dream?"
Mike laughs, "We're fighting a guy named GEORGE?"
Di grinned at Mikey and Raph gave him a look.
"That does seem pretty likely," Leo muttered.
Raph asked, "How did you get away from those gorillas anyway?"
"Yeah, you don't seem the ‘let me go and I'll give you a kiss' type," Mike said and puckered up.
Don grinned and retorted, "YOU are though."
Mike pouted, "Never works for me, though, prob'ly would for Di!"
Raph and Leo both shot looks at Mike and Don.
Di chuckled, "I didn't do that, I'm not quite sure of what exactly happened," a look of puzzlement passed over her face.
"I woke up on George's shoulders and when I reached for my sword, my hand brushed against one of the stones and I was off his shoulders and in an alley," she saw the weird looks the guys were giving her, and said, "Hey, let me finish my story before you send me to the loony bin."
There was a little laugher, and she went on, "Uhm, anyway, I stayed under the cover of the shadows and I heard, in my head, someone say ‘George is such an idiot.' Somehow I knew that George was the big guy who keeps coming after me. He ordered the group to look for me. They gave up after a few minutes and I came back here," she finished.
"Can we send you to the loony bin now?" Mike asked after a moment of silence.
"Ha, ha," Raph sarcastically muttered and the right corner of Di's mouth twitched in a half smile.
"Ho Kay," Leo said, getting them back on track, "we have some new information, and, it would appear, a new way to get that information," he looked at Di and her sword.
The dark Master rubbed at his chest where Di slashed it in the dream. He wasn't physically injured, but when Di had cut him, he felt pain, a lot of it, and pain wasn't something he was used to feeling.
At first, he was furious, but after he'd beaten a few of his servants, his fury subsided and now he was trying to think of a way to get her.
Then he realized something that hadn't clicked with him before.
Her sword actually caused me pain! Would it actually be able to hurt me? He pondered.
He knew a great deal about this blade, but there was a still far more that remained a mystery.
He shook his head and brought his mind back to trying to figure out how to get Di.
Usually fear would work. When he needed to get healers and guards and such for his dwelling, that's what he usually used. Fear, a very powerful tool.
Another tool he'd used was greed. Perhaps that would work on her! He thought.
He grinned, and leaned back into his throne, formulating a plan for that night.
Di sat on her knees with her sword across her lap, meditating with Splinter and Leo, trying to find out more about the sword.
They were getting nowhere, and they were all getting annoyed at the sword's hard headedness.
At first, the sword would tell them what they wanted to know, but then it would stop and force them out of trance, and they would have to start all over again, the sword telling them the same things and stopping at the same point. After the seventh time this happened, about four hours after they'd started, Di sighed in agitation and looked at her companions.
"You know, I think that we've gotten as far as we're going to get," she commented.
Splinter nodded and Leo answered, "Yeah, the sword doesn't seem to want us to het any farther."
"We can see if we can learn any more tomorrow," Splinter said, taking note of the tiered look on Di's face, "as for now, I believe we can all use a little sleep."
Di and Leo both nodded, bowed to Splinter and stood.
As they were walking out of the meditation room, Di saw Raph, Don and Mikey sitting on the couch, watching the television.
She grinned at them, and gingerly settled into a chair by the couch, since there wasn't any room for her.
Raph looked over at her, smiled and reached an arm over to give her a gentle one armed hug.
"How's yer back feel?" he asked.
She sighed, "Still hurts," then she grinned, "but you guys all help me feel better." Then she smiled at each of them in turn, and they smiled back. Leo and Splinter had joined them by now.
When she looked at Raph, she got lost in his eyes for a moment. She blushed and looked away.
Splinter saw this and chuckled softly. He also saw the weariness in Di's eyes.
"Perhaps we should let you sleep," he suggested.
Di shook her head and said, "Oh, I'm not that tired," not wanting to deprive them of their show, it was their home, after all.
Despite her words, she was asleep within a few minutes.
Again she was wearing the long white dress, but the neckline wasn't as low as before.
Oh, great, she thought, not again.
She looked around and saw that she was in a meadow that was full of long soft grass and wildflowers. Her hair wasn't in its customary poney tail, but fell in loose curls around her face.
Suddenly she saw a young man coming towards her.
Her first thought was, Whoa, he's cute! Then she felt the wrongness about him.
Bummer, she thought, all the cute ones are either gay, taken or evil.
Then he spoke, in one of the most soothing sweet voices she'd ever heard in her life, "You look so beautiful, but you're hurt."
Wow, I still AM hurt in this dream, Di thought, wincing at the pain of her injuries.
He then gracefully moved just in front of her and looked deeply into her eyes, catching and holding her gaze.
What she saw, she didn't like. Again she sensed the evil.
She couldn't move as he reached a hand to her injured shoulder and gently caressed it.
She felt an intense tingling, concentrating first on her shoulder and then running throughout her body.
She couldn't help it, she shuddered.
Wow, intense, she thought.
Then he did one of the last things she wanted him to.
He pulled her to him and kissed her.
"Mmmph!" she tried objecting, but couldn't pull back until the kiss was over.
He grinned at her. She almost cringed at the evil she saw in him.
"You can have that power if you join with me, you know," the man said.
Healing, I HAVE always wanted to be able to heal people. The thing is, I'd have to join this loser, she thought.
He was holding her hands and he looked like he was going to try something, but before he could do anything more, she pulled away.
He glowered at her and started to grow and darken, she was ready to draw her sword when he disappeared.
It was then that she felt herself being shaken awake.
